This type of yoga matched with Sita’s teaching style is a match made in heaven. The benefits are far-reaching. Pattie
In the Shivananda tradition of yoga you follow a specific progression of asanas. With regular practice, you are able to see your own progress. Sita guides you perfectly, and I highly recommend this class. Sincerely, Loretta
Many times in my life I have attended exercise centers and had to deal with overly energetic step classes with lots of loud music and an overly tense atmosphere. I would burn out almost immediately as if I was in some type of competition. After hearing about yoga I decided to take a yoga class. Yoga always sounded like it was too difficult and contorted. From the minute I attended the class till the end it was one of the most relaxing, connected, mind/body experiences I had.

Sita’s style of teaching is calm, and precise. She is not overly corrective as yoga is not a sport, or competition, but a complete experience. However, you will learn to do sequential postures and how to correctly align your body and spine. Further, Sita teaches genuine Hatha yoga in the tradition of Shivananda. The proper sequence is vital, as are the relaxing poses between asana’s (postures). I never once had pain after leaving a class, but I felt longer muscles with a stronger spine. I learned to sit straight, with my shoulders relaxed.

I highly recommend Sita as a qualified yoga instructor and with Shivananda you can be certain you are doing genuine yoga, not a hybrid of something a gym instructor made up. I will always go back to Sita as my yoga teacher. Victoria Rainone
