    1. Worshipping with rituals.
    2. Homage.
    3. It is the fifth of the nine modes of bhakti.

    Additional Explanation(s)

    Usually archanam involves offerings of flowers or leaves during a puja or worship ceremony. While making the offerings we repeat the names of the object of worship such as a deity or guru.

    It is also called arcana (arcana) in its root form neuter, or arcana (arcanA) in the feminine.
