    1. Dormant spiritual power that lies at the base of the spine.
    2. Represented symbolically as a sleepy coiled serpent.

    Additional Explanation(s)

    The tantric scriptures teach us ways to to relate to the universe in the form of kundalini shakti, or feminine power. Kundalini can be thought of as the inner manifestation of the divine mother. Within our bodies, the dormant kundalini sits at the base of the spine in the muladhara chakra.
